It’s Okay To Not Feel Okay

Steps Ministries

We’ve all been there. You smile a little less today. You just can’t place why, but everything just feels like a grey blob.

Sometimes the grey blob is following you. Sometimes it’s all around you. Sometimes you are the grey blob.

And that’s okay.

If you ever feel like one of those grey blob situations. Please keep these helpful reminders at heart.

It’s okay to just feel down

No one, and I mean absolutely no one, feels 100% 100% of the time.

Life is like a heart beat. There’s ups and downs, hills and valleys. The only right way around it is just keep moving forward.

It’s okay to just do nothing

When I was younger, in my wee early college days, I had this warped sense that I had to perpetually have something to do. I liked to stay busy because I believe being busy is what kept me moving.

But an engine can’t keep running all the time, non stop, and not break down sooner rather than later. It’s okay to allow yourself to do nothing sometimes. Take a weekend, clear your schedule, and just chill with nothing to do.

It’s okay to take a break

Mostly everyone has hobbies or just general things that they typically love to do. But sometimes, you just go through phases where you just don’t want to do them for a time. It’s okay to take a break from the things you love to do. Use this time to get a breather and recoup your creativity.

It’s okay to just loose interest

Your time is invaluable, an investment that you don’t want to see go to waste. But what if you generally loose interest in something you invested a lot of time in.

It may seem like a waste if you drop it now, then it might seem like all that time will be down the drain. But time is only wasted if you keep investing time in something that no longer brings you joy and ignites your passion.

You can apply what you’ve learned from a flipped investment to grow something new and wonderful.

Always remember the most important thing: You are enough and you are worthy.
