It’s a widely known fact that Hawaii has some of the best coffee in the world, because of its climate and volcanic soil. But the best of the best Hawaiian coffee comes from Green World Coffee Farm on the island of O’ahu.
That’s not my opinion, I’m just stating the facts. (Okay, maybe it is a little bit my opinion.)
Green World Coffee Farm is a small business-loving millennial’s dream, much like myself. Established in 2013 by owner Howard Green, Green World Coffee Farm is roughly seven acres and makes its magic with roughly 3000 arabica coffee trees and pure Hawaiian goodness.
They roast all of their coffee on sight and roast multiple times daily to ensure they produce the freshest product for daily island customers and abroad.
I firmly believe that their dedication to ensuring the freshest product is what sets them apart from other Hawaiian coffee producers and other big name coffee brands. (I’m looking at you Starbucks.) They do not sell their coffee to box stores, so you can only get their coffee from them. To me, that makes their coffee extra special.
If you have never been to their farm, they have an open cafe area where you can order drinks and other goodies and it opens up into their shop. Access to their coffee garden is through the back of the shop, or you can go around through the parking lot.
Their coffee garden has a nice little sitting area where you can enjoy both your coffee and the views.
Seeing and feeling a product you will consume in its earliest stages is a real treat in our modern life of prepackaged-who-knows-what.
In their shop, they offer a huge selection of coffee, both blends and 100% Hawaiian coffee, and other Hawaiian made goods. They also offer multiple types of free samples daily. If coffee isn’t your thing, they also have a nice variety of Hawaiian made teas, which they also offer as free samples.
Green World Coffee Farm is located just north of Wahaiwa, about 45 miles north of Honolulu. Traffic through Honolulu may be terrible; but trust me, it is well worth the drive! Grab a cup or bag of coffee while on the way to the North Shore to catch some of O’ahu’s legendary waves!
Thanks for sharing about coffee , I use to buy from Hawaii and Brazil
